Windows 10 runs on a variety of tools. From the Internet of Things to advanced data center servers, they can be equipped with Windows 10. Some of these tools will have a 4-inch display and some 80-inch. Some will not have a screen at all. Some of these tools fit in one hand and some are a few meters in size. Some Windows 10-based tools use a stylus and touch screen to control the device, while others use a keyboard and mouse, while others use motion controllers. Some of these tools also allow you to switch between these modes.

- The versions in front of which are the letter N are Windows multimedia versions of Windows.
- Volume License (VL) and Retail versions do not differ in appearance, only the type of activation is different.
- The VL version does not include the Home version, and with one series you can activate multiple Windows installed on different systems.
- The recommended version is to install the Pro version.
- It is possible to install via UEFI boot.
